Kumiko Mae over at http://lovingsunshine.com tagged me for my first blog award, The Liebster Award. Rules are, you tag 11 bloggers with under 200 followers (a rule I had to bend because I didn't have enough friends with under 200 followers) and have them write down 11 random facts about themselves. After which, you ask them a set of questions that you set up just for them. In turn, they must tag another 11 bloggers and they must do the same with another set of questions that they set up with those they tag in mind. It's a fun way to get to know people in your blogging community and make new friends along the way.

Here are some random facts about me:

1. I fancy myself an artist. I've been at it since I was 3 years old. I've dabbled in painting, writing, photography, dance and drama. Lately, as many of you who follow my blog know, my medium of choice has been make-up.

2. I bite my nails. My mother says I was born with both hands in my mouth. I've never been able to drop the habit. We've tried a number of things over the years. They've coated my fingers in sili, painted them bright colors, covered them with fake nails... Nothing worked for very long. I actually had my first manicure last month and the lady who did my nails looked appalled by their state. All the while I felt like I had to apologize for making her job so much harder.

3. I have no domestic skills whatsoever. This is pretty embarassing considering I am 23 years old. When I was younger my mother threatened to sell me off to the first guy who asked for me. "Before he realizes what he's gotten himself into," she used to say. To me, a broom is that thing Harry Potter flies around on. I am also utterly useless in the kitchen. The only two appliances I can work is the microwave and the telephone (to order takeout). Sad, I know.

4. I used to be terrified of getting my hair cut. I've had long hair for as long as I can remember. The longest it has gotten is a little past my knee. I'm not afraid of getting it cut anymore. I'm actually thinking of growing it out again. It has always been a dream of mine to be able to give to Locks of Love or other similar foundations that make wigs for cancer patients. Hopefully I'll be able to do that soon.

5. I am a Disney baby. I know the soundtracks of all the classics by heart. I can even mouth the lines with the characters. Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, etc... I know 'em all. I still try to keep up with all the new films that come out, but they just aren't the same. Nothing beats the classics.

6. I have a mini-library. I've loved to read ever since I was a little girl. I used to take books home from the library back then. When my family realized that I would much rather spend money on books than anything else, well, you could say that's how I started my collection. I now have over 300 books of different genres lined up on three giant bookcases in my room. My little library is still growing.

7. I can't sing. I played Elsa in my high school's production of the Sound of Music and I swear, I saw the audience let out a collective breath (in relief) after my solo. They were literally in pain. Ofcourse, I now tend to avoid kareoke bars and jam sessions. Injured cats sound better than I do.

8. I have over 15 pairs of white shoes. They're mostly doll shoes but there are a few sneakers too. They go with everything! 'nuff said.

9. My boyfriend is a ballet danseur. I know this one is technically not about me, but I like to brag about it. We met when his company staged the Nutcracker in 2006. Most people still can't get over the whole "ballet-is-for-girls-basketball-is-for-boys" concept. I find it ridiculous.

10. I am the ultimate daddy's girl. My dad is my hero. He is the standard by which every other guy is measured.

11. One of my feet is bigger than the other. Maybe I should have led with this. It feels like one of those things you expect to see on Ripley's believe it or Not. There's more than a half-inch difference between my left foot and my right one. I've been stuffing my left shoe my whole life. I call my left foot "Little Foot" (Yes, like the dinosaur).

These are Kumiko's questions:

1. What's your favorite book and why?

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Of all my books, this one is the best-loved (though most would probably see it as distressed). The spine is beyond saving, the pages have yellowed over the years, and most of them are dog-eared from when I refused to use a bookmark. It is one of my most cherished possessions. The perfect blend of feminism and romanticism (contrary schools of thought) appealed to my feministic and hopelessly romantic nature.

By the way, I hated the movie.

2. If you can be born again to a life of your choosing, what would it be like and where will it be? If different period, you might want to share the period too! Be creative!

This is what comes of reading too many historical romances! If I had to choose, I would pick England in the 1800s. I loved the fashions of the time. Full skirts, tiny waists, piled curls, walking dresses, riding habits... And the language! "In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you." What wouldn't I give to have someone speak to me that way. Shallow, I know. I do recognize the downsides: idleness, fickleness, helplessness... I'd do my best to get around those.

3. What are you saving up for right now?

I am putting every penny into a trip to Cambodia and Thailand. My friends and I have been travelling a lot lately. In 2010 we went to Hong Kong and Macau. This year it was Singapore and Malaysia. Here's hoping for the funds for more adventures!

4. What were you like in high school (if still in high school, in grade school then)?

You know Elizabeth Wakefield from the Sweet Valley High series (I hope someone does or I'll feel really old)? I was a lot like her. Almost-a-nerd-but-not-quite-there-yet. I was editor-in-chief of the yearbook, on the editorial staff of the school paper but at the same time was part of the drama club, the dance troupe and the volleyball team.

5. What are your thoughts on bullying (online especially, let me know if you've experienced it or know someone who have!)?

I think bullying is a manifestation of envy and insecurity. I know a pretty little girl who was bullied at school. I didn't understand how anyone could be mean to her. She was the sweetest thing. She was so traumatized by the experience that she refused to go back to school and ended up being home schooled.

These experiences leave young girls in a fragile state. They do not form new relationships easily because they do not trust anyone not to point out their flaws (real or imaginary). It's sad. But it's real.

6. Why do you blog?

I blog for a lot of reasons. For one, I love to write. I'm very opinionated and my blog gives me an outlet. Also, I'm making the most of the creative energy that ultimately goes to waste studying the law. As I mentioned earlier, I am an artist.

7. How do you unwind?

I read. I know that is probably not the answer most expected of me. I do all the regular stuff too. I go to the mall, I hit the beach, I watch movies... However, nothing beats a good book. I can't think of a more relaxing activity.

8. What's the most irritating thing for you?

I hate it when people who have too much money spend it on vices. I know people who spend what would feed a family of four for a month on a night about town. I think its wasteful.

9. If there's one thing you can change about yourself, what would it be and why?

My fatal flaw is hubris; Pride. I feel like I do things better than others. It keeps me from asking for help even when I need it. It's a horrible quality that I'm working to quash.

10. What are your thoughts on mermaids?

I love 'em! If we're talking Ariel and the Little Mermaid, then you're looking at the first princess who fought for what she wanted instead of just waiting for it to be handed to her on a silver platter. She didn't need a prince to kiss her awake either. On a similar vein, I love the Pirates of the Caribbean 4 kind too. I find the power they have over men fascinating.

11. What's the most remarkable thing that ever happened to you so far?

This one was really tough for me. It's pretty sad that I couldn't think of anything remarkable right away. If I had to pick, it would probably be getting lost in Kuala Lumpur last summer. It was the most exhausting thing I have ever gone through. It'll make a good story for the grandkids someday.

Thank you Kumiko for tagging me! In turn, I tag:
I discovered this blush while out shopping with my mom. She was on a new diet that prescribed only mineral make-up. How make-up factors into weight loss, I have no idea. However, my mother was adamant that we had to replace all her beauty essentials with mineral equivalents. One of the items we picked up was the BT Minerals Mineral Blush Duo.

Walking through the make-up counters at the department store, I was instantly drawn to the blush's unique packaging. The cover doubles as a container for the cream blush. The top opens much like a pressed powder or single eyeshadow would. To get to the loose blush, you just twist off the lid. They carry four different colors in this collection: Mauve Pink, Pink, Coral and Rose.

Upon closer inspection, I was disappointed to find that the material was made of cheap plastic. Also, I could see the glue they used to stick the cream blush onto the lid of the mineral blush. Undeterred, I played around with the testers a bit. After a lot of thought, I picked up Coral and Rose.

Before I get into what I think of the product as a whole, I'd like to discuss my thoughts on them as two different products: a cream blush and a loose mineral blush. As to the former, before this buy, I had absolutely zero experience with cream blushes. I've only ever used powder blushes and, occasionally, tints and stains. The ones in the BT Minerals Mineral Blush Duos are my first. However, they will not be my last.
I love the natural finish the cream blushes [Rose and Coral] provide. They leave a rosy glow which I find more comely than the pinched effect that tints and stains give. They also apply closer to the skin while most powder blushes sit atop the skin. They are blendable and buildable. The way I see it, both colors would work well on most skin tones.
I wasn't as excited about working with the loose minral blushes. There isn't anything wrong with them. In fact, they're really good. They're very pigmented; a little goes a long way. Moreover, the container holds so much of the loose blush, there's no danger of running out any time soon. The one thing I wasn't looking forward to was the mess. You see, I'm a bit of a clutz and with these loose products, if you're not careful, they tend to fall everywhere. So far, I've managed not to knock them over.

When used together, loose blush on top of the cream, the outcome is really pretty. The powder sets the cream so it doesn't move throughout the day. Instead of taking away from the natural finish, it enhances it.

All in all, the BT Minerals Mineral Blush Duo is a very versatile product. You can use the cream blush on its own, the loose blush on its own, or use both, the powder over the cream. They give different effects, but ultimately, they all look good. I'm definitely going back for the other two colors. They're sold at Php 397 each.

BT Minerals Mineral Blush Duo is distributed by Beauty Treats International Co., Inc.
I hope this review helps those who are looking to pick this product up.
This year's testimonial dinner was Greek-inspired. The entire set-up incorporated pillars, drapes, clay pots and stone statues. The event was attended by prosecutors, faculty, students and the new lawyers of Xavier University all dressed up in their Grecian best. Being on the organizing committee, I did my best to impress. This was my take on the theme.

The entire look was inspired by Blake Lively's get up on one episode of Gossip Girl.
The hair was a challenge. I didn't know how to pile the curls. I eventually found a few hair tutorials on Youtube that helped (Click here and here). The photo below is of the trial I did several hours before the party. I ended up taking it down and redoing it.
I'll probably be more active in August than I have been for July. There are a lot of local holidays to look forward to. Also, after Midterm week the professors tend to call a ceasefire on most of the heavy stuff. I'm looking forward to doing more writing for this blog.
I am so sorry that I haven't put up anything new in forever! I've been swamped with schoolwork ever since school started. I'm also on the committee for two testimonial dinners. I barely have time to close my eyes at night. I'll work my schedule out so I can keep this blog alive.

This post is actually long overdue. I got this gig last month but, like I said, have been to busy to do a post on it. My friend Maan, who you might have seen in one of my earlier posts (I gave her and a few of her friends makeovers for a night out), asked me if I would do her make-up for a wedding she was attending. Never one to disappoint, I said yes.
I wore this to my grandmother's 80th birthday last week. The theme was bright colors. I don't usually wear a lot of color, being a sheep in law school and all, so I thought, "Hey, why not take advantage of the situation?" I ended up sporting a look inspired by Katy Perry in her video Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).

I don't know what possessed me to get something called a Chubby Stick. I was walking through Duty Free with my family and as soon as we passed the tower of little boxes, I was stuck. I didn't understand the image on the cover. I thought, "Is it a lipstick?" "Do you sharpen it?" "Why does it look like a child's jumbo crayon?" I was fascinated. Truth be told, if my mother and grandmother hadn't suggested we buy one and take a Chubby Stick each (it came in a box of three), I would never have left the Clinique counter. I rationalized that with us splitting the $45, it wouldn't end up being so expensive. That probably isn't true but I like to tell myself it is. I left the store praying that I didn't just spend a whole lot of money on a giant crayon... called a CHUBBY STICK.

The first thing I did once I got mine open was check if I needed to find a supersized sharpener. Thankfully, the mondo lip pencil is twistable. I read that for earlier releases, this wasn't the case. The twistable Chubby Stick was an innovation to the old design which ended up next to useless once it was a chubby stump. Good thing too! Sharpeners that big are in short supply.
I found the product itself to be really moisturizing, though the color payoff isn't as rich as say, the Revlon ColorStay Lip Butters. The colors are pretty sheer on the lips but they keep them well hydrated for a few hours at least.

There is also no noticeable smell or taste to these Chubby Sticks, for which I am thankful.

In sum, the Clinique Chubby Sticks, though named like a popsicle, are in fact excellent. They are extremely moisturizing on the lips and they keep them hydrated throughout the day. The sheer colors are perfect for simple every day looks. The only downside I see to these is that they are pretty pricey. I would like to get more colors, but that will have to wait until after the semester ends.
I picked up a box of these little lip glosses while I was in Duty Free with my family. They weren't what caught my attention initially, but I passed them on the way to the check out counter so I put them in my cart last minute. I thought, "10 shades for $35 dollars. The Clinique Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine Mini Duos disappointed me. I should have thought about the buy before just tossing the box into my cart. They weren't kidding when they called them minis. I didn't even stop to think about how 10 lip glosses would fit into such a tiny box! I could just hit myself For making that mistake. I won't though. I think doling out all that cash for something that I didn't even end up liking is punishment enough.
Let me get into what I didn't like about these. First, though double-ended, a single duo does not even match the length of a ballpen. In fact, the entire duo is about the length of a cotton bud. Right out of the box I thought, "Uh oh!" Sure, I could still read the colors off of the butt of the tubes. Barely though. Also, when I finally brought myself to check the applicator, I saw that it was smaller than the head of the cotton bud. I had to dip the applicator in the tube more than once just to be able to sweep product on my entire lip. It's ridiculous!

Second, I find the product itself to be too sticky. Some women might find this to be a non-issue. In fact, some women might even prefer stickier lip glosses. I, however, am not one of them. I didn't like how it felt when I rubbed my lips together. I recall the days when I used to play with Elmer's Glue. I'd let it dry on my hand on purpose and try to pull my fingers apart. It felt like that, except on my lips instead of my fingers.

Lastly, though the colors looked so pretty in the tube, when I tried them on a lot of them looked the same. I don't see the point in making a set of lip glosses with similar shades. One good thing I did find about these is that you don't really notice the glitter particles once you have them on.

1st row L-R: Peach Plump, Glamourfull, Ripest Apricot, Mimosa Bloom, Soooo Pink
2nd row L-R: Play-full Plump, Cherry Bomb, Luscious Lilac, Double Plum, Pink Aplenty

I'm sorry I can't put up photos of the product on my lips because they are in an unfortunate state at the moment. I did, however, swatch them on my arm so I could share them with you.

To sum it all up, I didn't like the Clinique Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine Mini Duos at all. They're tiny, they're sticky and they all look the same. I probably wouldn't have minded the size so much if I liked the formula. Sad to say, that isn't the case. I'm not saying that they're bad. Others might love these travel-sized lip glosses. I showed them to my cousin Katrina and she thought they were adorable, To each her own, I guess.
Moving on...

I haven't done a haul in so long. I've been either too swamped in schoolwork or too cheap to shop. Lucky for me, my family understands my passion. Thus, they did all the shopping for me.

If you read my last post, you know that my dad just came home from Thailand with a bunch of presents for me and my brother. What I failed to mention was that before they [my parents] left, I gave my mom a list of stuff they "could" get me "if" they wanted to. I never dreamed they would get more than two things on that list. Apparently, I lack imagination.

Expensive Pink, which has a shimmery texture, is closer to a peach than a pink. As I tend to go for warmer tones, this was a happy surprise. I didn't know this when I put it on my list. It will work perfectly with the soft understated looks that I favor for school.

The same can be said for Brun. I put it on the list fully intending to use it on my brows. Looking at it now, I see that there are several possibilities. The matte dark gray-brown could line the eyes if I'd rather not use black. It could also give the eyes more depth if applied in the crease and outer corners.
Peachykeen is, as its name suggests, a warm peach. It has touch of shimmer to it which gives a nice glow when applied to the apples of the cheeks. I believe this shade would work well with all skin tones.
This one gave me pause. I am really fair. I didn't think this would match my skin tone at all. Then I tried it on. I did not notice a significant difference; at least not a negative one. The color did not look too different from my usual setting powder. I'll have to keep using it before I can pronounce judgment.
Subculture and Plink! are nude lip colors. As I mentioned earliler, I like soft understated looks which makes a good nude lip color essential. What I love about these colors is that the applications are endless. I can use them on their own, I can use one on top of the other, I could top both off with a gloss, etc... And they go well with so many looks. These two will definitely see a lot of use once school starts.
I usually just use a clear mascara to set my brows. I've wanted to get a tinted brow gel forever but have never gotten around to doing it. I was thrilled with this one.

I have horrible brows! I'm trying to grow them out. Please do not judge.
I combed through my brows with a spool brush then used the brow set. I'm afraid my camera didn't pick up the color very well.

Smolder is one of the blackest liners I've ever tried. The kohl was just creamy enough that the application was smooth and flawless. I'll probably do an update on this one in the future.
Moving on...

My dad came home from Manila a few days ago with a bag of goodies. You see, my family has been away for most of the summer. My parents, along with my aunts, uncles and a few of their good friends, spent my mirrored time in Singapore in Thailand. Before that trip, my dad's older brother and his wife spent a few months in the US. Not to be outdone, my grandmother did some retail therapy in Manila. It's no great wonder that we were showered with presents!

One of the gifts my dad lifted from his bag was the Stila Dream in Full Color Palette. My eyes grew round the moment I set them on the box. Even unopened I could tell it was going to be amazing.
The palette itself reminded me of a view through a kaleidoscope; 36 different colors (29 eyeshadows and 7 cheek colors) arranged to form a dreamcatcher on a large circular pan. Apart from its unique design, the different textures of the eyeshadows (i.e. shimmer, matte and semi-matte) also add to the palette's beauty.
The Stila Dream in Full Color Palette also comes with a 12-page artistry lookbook. The lookbook holds step-by-step instructions for 7 looks that be recreated using the palette. The colors are assigned numbers so application almost feels like the paint by number sessions I used to do as a little girl. The book also contains photos of the completed looks as well as Stila pro artist tips and tricks.
If you're one of those who lucked out and walked into the store only to find they were sold out, or simply don't want to dole out the ridiculous amount on the price tag (it retails for around SGD80 or USD50), I have good news: You can get one FREE!
I know I have not written anything of note in a while. I've been making the most of my summer vacation. I haven't thought about school in weeks and I feel so much better for it. However, enrollment starts in a few weeks. Having thoroughly neglected my blog this summer, I'd like to make up for it by filling you in on my Sephora adventure.

The most exciting part of my stay in Singapore was my trip to Marina Bay Sands. Naturally, the lights of the city took my breath away. However, it was the mall that sent my heart racing. The moment I saw Sephora from the second floor, I knew I would go home happy. Broke, but happy.

My boyfriend insisted that he take pictures of me going through the store. He kept hiding behind counters and shooting as I went around. Apparently, I was like a kid at Christmas time. Except I had to pay for all of the things I put in my cart.
The lady at the register could possibly be the nicest person on the planet. She tried to help me out with everything I wanted, but I was so overwhelmed that I just kept saying, "Ummm... ok." to everything she asked me.
I ended up doing hers as well as three of her friends'. Not that I'm complaining. I needed this impromptu gig. I needed the practice.

I wish I'd had the forethought to take before and after pictures of each of them.

<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

L-R: Katrina, Joyce, Maan and Clarice.

Katrina wanted to wear a red lip so I went pretty easy on the eyes. She has a thin liner along the lid and some neutral shadows. I contoured along her cheeks and jaw to slim it down and applied a bright pink blush to the apples. She has a matte red lip cream on and I conviced her to run a clear gloss over it.

Maan is what we in the Philippines call a chinita. With her, I had to use darker shades and thicker lines to really open up her eyes. Though you can't really see it in this shot, they're smoked out. Her cheeks are also contoured but in a shade lighter than the one I used on Katrina. I then lined and filled her lips with a dark red lipstick, then went over the middle with more of an orange color. I then topped it off with some clear gloss.

With Clarice I used mostly light browns and grays on the eyes. I lined both upper and lower lash lines as well as upper and lower waterlines. I used a nude lip cream on her and topped it off with a nude gloss. I also filled in her brows to make them appear fuller.

With Joyce's eyes i decided to use more color. I used a few shades of purple then smoked it out with some dark blue and black. Her lashes were so long and full that I barely had to line her eyes. I used softer pinks on her cheeks and lips.

I'll be sure to take solo pictures the next time I do one of these.

'til next time,

As I mentioned in my last blog post, I'll be off to Singapore in a few weeks. Being the girl scout that I am, I stressed about what to pack even before we received our booking confirmation. I picked out a stroller, had name tags made, set aside the clothes I wanted to take with me, and even tied little pink ribbons to my bag so I would know it was mine. I was a packing superstar!

Then I hit a wall. The most stressful task turned out to be picking out beauty products. You see, I promised myself I would only take what would fit into the two beautiful blue bags you see below.

I actually practiced going through my days with only these products. With the help a few of my favorite Youtube gurus, I was able to create a few looks that I found to be perfect for Summer.

That, however, is for another day.
What products do you take with you when on vacation?
I know I've pretty much fallen off the grid AGAIN. I've been pretty busy. For the most part, I've been travelling and preparing for travel. I'm actually writing from Bohol right now and in a few weeks I'll be leaving for Singapore. I am definitely making the most of my summer vacation.

I've spent most of my time here at the beach or by the pool, so aside from a lot of sun screen and a bit of color for my lips, I haven't worked a lot of products. I'm looking to change that as soon as I get home. And yes, I'll be bringing my make-up bag to Singapore so you will be hearing from me even when I'm vacationing. I'm hoping to get a little shopping done there too!

That's it, I guess. For now, I have to deal with the fact that no matter how long I sit under the sun, I cannot get a tan!

'til next time,
The E.L.F. Contouring Kit in Blushed and Bronzed is one of my all-time favorite products. In fact, it is my absolute favorite bronzer-blush combo. I've used it everyday since I bought it late last year. I use it to carve out my cheekbones and make my face appear thinner than it really is. Yes, such measures are necessary. For me, at least, I cannot go a day without it.

I did not always feel this way. When I first opened the kit, I was extremely disappointed by the poor packaging. The mirror on the reverse side of the cover fell out. Though I was able to glue it back on I though, "How good can the product be with such lousy packaging?" I was pleased to find that the packaging did not reflect the quality of the product.

The bronzer has a natural finish. The color is very wearable and works well on my freakishly fair skin. The most significant feature that I would like to point out is that, unlike most bronzers, this one does not get muddy as the day wears on. The color also does not noticeably fade after a few hours. Perfect for those who, like me, do not have the time to make frequent trips to the restroom to reapply their make-up.

The blush also impressed me. It has a gold hue to it. It also has small glitter particles that help give the cheeks a rosy glow. The color and finish is perfect for the summer.

Other than the poor packaging of the E.L.F. Contouring Kit, I have very little to complain about. As soon as I run out, I will be sure to hit the nearest department store to get a new one.

The E.L.F. Contouring Kit is a steal at Php 249.75.
I am officially free for two glorious months!

This is a look I got off of Eman Aziz's Youtube channel. She did a video tutorial on a look inspired by Blake Lively of Gossip Girl that she thought would be perfect for Spring. This is my attempt at it. Something pretty for the Summer, as Spring doesn't come to the Philippines.

I didn't use the same products as many of the ones listed are not available to me. I made do with ones I had to begin with.
Facial WipesSome time before the new year, I did a review on my favorite make-up remover: the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. As mentioned in that post, I've only been able to get them at Duty Free. Since I'm running low, I've had search for an alternative. No, I'm not going to stop using the Neutrogena ones. However, as I don't forsee a trip to Manila in the near future, I'll have to make do with what I can get in the local drugstores and department stores. Thus the subject of today's post: the Celeteque DermoScience Make-up Remover Cleansing Facial Wipes.

<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

A pack of the Celeteque facial wipes has 20 sheets inside. The product is part of Celeteque's hydration line geared towards improving the level of moisture in the skin while removing all traces of make-up, oil and dirt (or so it says on the packaging). I hoped that the last part would, at least, prove true.

When I first pulled out a towelette, I was pretty disappointed. It was a little dry. There were times that I had to spritz water on the material just so it didn't dry up entirely. I'm not sure if I got a bad pack or if they're actually made that way. Whatever the case, removing my make-up felt more like I was scraping rather than sweeping.

Another thing I didn't like was that the make-up wipes did not fare well against dark eye make-up. Even waterproof formulas were no match for the towelettes by Neutrogena. I can't say the same for these ones. I had to attack my eye with a cotton round and a different make-up remover every night. I know that most people probably keep a different make-up remover for eye make-up anyway, but the convenience of being able to get everything off with just one product was a Godsend to me. I'd hoped to still be able to keep it at one step.

As to the moisturizing properties, I have not seen a significant improvement. Truth be told, I wasn't looking out for it. But I would have overlooked that entirely had it only given me the ease that the Neutrogena Cleansing Towelettes did.

So, no. The Celeteque DermoScience Make-up Remover Cleansing Facial Wipes will not serve as my alternative make-up remover. I have one pack left but, if I can help it, that is, find another make-up remover (preferably on that comes in wipes), I won't get it again.

Celeteque DermoScience Make-up Remover Cleansing Facial Wipes are available at all leading drugstores, department stores and supermarkets. I got mine at the Watsons closest to my house for Php160.

<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I've been looking to try this product out ever since I saw the video Jen (of FrmHeadToToe) did on how she applies her BB cream. She featured the Skin79 Super Plus Beblesh Balm Gold. Unfortunately, you can't get this where I'm from so I had to resort to searching the net. I was really careful with the online stores I looked through because it is common knowledge that there are a lot of fake products being sold on eBay and on Multiply. I eventually found one I was comfortable purchasing from. My BB cream arrived two days after I put in the order.

I was really impressed with the packaging. The BB cream came in a cute little cylinder with a pump dispenser. I learned through the Skin79 North America website that the current packaging is new. It was slimmed down to be compact enough to carry around in a purse. The pump was also redesigned to provide better use. I mentioned that I appreciate pump dispensers in a previous post so this made my day.

<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I've been using this product for over a month now and I have to say that it does wonders for my skin. It takes care of the imperfections that would normally be the source of major insecurity. There were a few issues that I had to work around when I first tried it. After a few tries, they turned out to be non-issues. The most worrisome was that the BB cream came in only one color and that color had a grey undertone. I simply couldn't wrap my head around it. After a while, to my surprise, the color started to adapt to my own skin tone. I don't know if that makes any sense. It is, however, what happened. The grey tones which were so prominent when I first applied the product to my skin were hardly noticeable after I gave it time to set.

I am completely sold on the Skin79 Super Plus Beblesh Balm (Hot Pink). I gush about it so much that my mom, aunt and cousins are trying it out too. We all claim the same results: Pores disappear almost entirely; Dark spots and blemishes are completely covered; and Skin is kept oil-free but moisturized.

This product is little short of a miracle. I definitely recommend it.
My best friend just e-mailed me the pictures of my Glam Bag! Ok, technically, the pictures are of her Glam Bag. Mine is still sealed. She told me half of the fun is in opening the package so she'll let do it myself when it gets to me.

I had to go to class before she could tell me what was in them in detail, but I'm sure there are several other blogs out there with the info. I just wanted to share the photos.
We were walking through the Beauty section of the SM City Department Store, like we do every Sunday, and everybody had something they wanted. Not wanting to be the odd one out, I looked through the make-up counters to see if there was anything that would call to me. This eye liner did.

I'm pretty sure I've seen a review of these IN2IT liners on Youtube but, gold fish that I am, I can't remember whose channel I saw it on. I'm not even sure what the review said, really. What really drew me in the end was the price tag: Php499.75 for two liners. At Php250 each, I thought they were worth a try.
The first thing I noticed when I took the pencils from the box was the design. Both liners had silver flowers engraved all over along with the brand name and the color. They were definitely designed to appeal to a younger audience. More mature women with more sophisticated tastes would probably not give this product a second look. I thought they were really pretty (And I'm not just saying that so to group myself with the former).

I noticed the colors next. Now, there were different color pairs at the IN2IT counter. I chose this particular combination, Very Black and Royal, because blue is my favorite color. The color looked beautiful from the tip of the liner, but I wanted to see what it would look like on me (I'm afraid that will have to wait another day).

The packaging had some pretty ambitious claims on the side. "Waterproof and super long wearing," "Ultra smooth formula" and "No bleeding no running" among others. Eager to see if any of the claims on the box proved true, I swatched the IN2IT Waterproof Gel Liners. True enough, they glided on. After 60 seconds (because the box also says the gel liners dry in 60 seconds), I tried rubbing the swatches and after that ran my hand under the faucet. The lines didn't budge. I have to say, for Php250, I was impressed.

The only thing that didn't prove true was the part about no bleeding. I put very black on my waterline the other day and it did bleed a little after a few hours. Nothing that couldn't be remedied in the ladies' room in between classes though.

Note: This picture was taken after I tried rubbing the swatches. They didn't budge at all.

So, what do I think of the IN2IT Waterproof Gel Liners? I think they're worth a lot more than what I paid for them. They're pretty and they don't hold too many empty promises. The way they stayed on after I rubbed (And I really put an effort into it!) was a small miracle in itself. I will definitely be getting this again. If only just the very black.
I ran out of my old concealer and I needed another one badly. I was already at the Maybelline counter checking out the Magnum Volum' Express, so when the saleslady recommended the AngelFit Perfect Concealer, I decided to just add it to my cart.

My last concealer came in a stick. I have to confess that I didn't like it too much. I just waited until it ran out before getting a new one. The Maybelline AngelFit Perfect Concealer comes in liquid form with a sponge-tipped applicator. I was really happy with that.

What I didn't appreciate was the fact that it only came in two shades. The first being too light for me, the second too dark. I'm not sure if they actually only come in two shades or if those were the only two available at the department store I frequent. I got the lighter of the two.
I decided to get it anyway to brighten up the dark circles sleepless nights have left under my eyes.

I found the product quite runny even when I used the sponged-tipped applicator. It blended well enough when I put it to face though. It covered up my dark circles well enough too.

Will I get it again? Probably. That is, until I find something better. For now, it does its job. It's a liquid concealer so it's easier to work with and it's a shade or two lighter than my natural skin tone so it brightens up my eyes when I apply it to the under-eye area. I'm not exactly gushing over it though. And for Php429, I feel like I should be.

If you know a good concealer you think I should try, leave me a comment.
